There are quite a few skills that Wars have that could have Cracked Armor conditoin added to them to make them more usable.
[power attack] currently very underused, adding Cracked armor would make this a very powerfull skill.
[Soldier's Strike] could also add it.
[Desperation Blow] and [Drunken Blow] ABSOLUTELY should have this condition added to the list they can cause.

energy attack skills on a war that aren't [bull's strike] or [crushing blow]? /EPICFAIL!!
maybe cracked armor isn't meant to be on wars. [distracting strike] is stricly worse than [distracting shot] because anet intentionally made rangers better at interrupting than wars. wars are meant to do big domage, and they already do that. if you really need cracked armor put it on your midline, they're there for things like that

shhh...
You're right though. Getting hit with hammer would make a dent in anyones armor. Warriors are the most logical armor crackers in the game, so /signed.

what makes sense when considering how classes would work irl isn't necessarily best for balancing the game. cracked armor is just a name to give the mechanic some kind of flavor, its not meant to make you think "oh, im weilding a hammar, shuldnt i be able to crak this mofo's armor?"

This is a game not meant to be played solo. Since you have anywhere from 3-7 other people on your team for general PvE and PvP, and up to 11 other people for elite missions, you have other sources for Cracked Armor.
Elementalist, Necromancer, Ritualist, and Mesmer all have ways to supply Cracked Armor to an enemy. If Cracked Armor is something that is needed for your build, and you can't fit a skill to provide it in your build, ask a team mate to supply it. If you can't coordinate with the people you are playing with, you need to learn how to play a cooperative game. If you are using heroes+hench, then you need to learn how to create builds for an entire team with synergy.

Class synergy.
Remember kids, Guild Wars is a team game. Not every class can do everything, which is why you need team work. Skills like distracting strike and body blow are promoting co-ordination and team play, which is a good thing.

if you really must get into the fantasy behind the mechanics that's still not an inconsistency. silk clothing=60al=unaffected by cracked armor

I think that would be a terrible idea.
That would make [Cleave] + [Body Blow] the same as having both [Cleave] and [Eviscerate] on one bar.
[[Cleave] is fine; it doesn't need a buff.

wut? cracked armor is different then deep wound and you would only do -2 less damage. also anet would correct that. also isnt that already what eviscerate already is with out the cracked armor?

give me cracked armor as a PVE only skill - that way those that say it is "unbalancing" don't have to worry about it in PVP and those that say it "just makes sense for a warrior to crack armor" can have it for dungeons or mob slaughter etc... Simple solution, but personally I don't give a hoot either way.

I understand where you are coming from a Proffession should be able to use there own skills without the help of a 2nd proffession. But skills such as DS could be a call to mix and match more I still use Shell shock a lot on my warrior.

Why? Guild Wars is a TEAM BASED game. Being a team based game, you're going to have to rely on your allies as well as yourself. You rely on your party member with cracked armor to apply it on your enemy just like you rely on your healer to keep your team alive, MM to get minions up, damage dealers to kill enemies, etc. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this, because Guild Wars is a team based game (I really cannot stress this enough).

Warriors logically apply Cracked armor? Does the ele spell fireball blow crap up forever? Does burning actually make your char burn it's skin off? Walking in hot lava? - no prob!
Just go with a second proff and quit QQ
